DESCRIPTION:The CHIST-ERA ERA-NET is a pathfinder programme for European c
 oordinated research on future and emerging information and communication t
 echnologies. The consortium is supported by the EU’s FET programme.\n\nE
 very year\, the participating funding organisations (incl. SNSF) launch an
 nual calls to support high risk\, high impact transnational projects.\n\nT
 he 2020 Call promotes two separate topics\, namely:\n\n	Advanced Brain-Com
 puter Interfaces for Novel Interactions (BCI)\n	Towards Sustainable ICT (S
 -ICT)\n\n \nApplications should follow and address the SNSF policies on o
 pen access and open data.\n\nWho can apply: \n\n\n	International consortia
  composed of researchers from at least 3 different participating countries
 . Consortia are encouraged to include partners from enlargement countries 
 or non-EU countries participating in European research programmes. Additio
 nal partners from other countries may be part of a consortium if they can 
 secure their own funding. The standard consortium size is 3-6 partners.\n\
 n\n\n	Swiss-based applicants: all Swiss applicants must be eligible for SN
 SF Project Funding (see EPFL Instructions for SNSF Project Funding). Pleas
 e contact research@epfl.ch to verify your eligibility for the call.\n\n\nL
 ook for partners using the Partner Search Tool. \n\nFor Swiss-based applic
 ants and co-applicants: \n\n\n	In case of several overlapping SNSF project
 s\, all projects must be thematically different.\n	Swiss applicants may pa
 rticipate in at most one CHIST-ERA proposal.\n	The SNSF exclusively funds 
 research conducted for purposes that are not directly commercial.\n\n\nFun
 ding:\n\n\n	Depends on the country-specific regulations (each partner is f
 unded separately by the national/regional funding).\n	The SNSF has allocat
 ed CHF 1M for 3-5 projects for this call. For EPFL applicants: use the Bud
 get Calculator available in the EPFL Toolkit for SNSF Project Funding.\n	A
 t most 60% of the total requested funding may be requested by partners fro
 m one country.\n\n\nTimeline of the call:\n\n\n	Deadline for proposal subm
 ission: 1 March 2021 at 17:00 CET\n	Notification of acceptance proposals: 
 July 2021\n	Earliest start of the project: October 2021\n\nNote: Swiss-bas
 ed applicants must submit proposals via mySNF. Prior contact with SNSF is 
 highly recommended if PI has never been supported by reference funding sch
