DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Ovarian Cancer 
 Research Program (OCRP) Awards. The OCRP Proteogenomics Research Award sup
 ports the use of proteomics and/or genomics to explore new concepts or the
 ories in ovarian cancer. The award is intended to support the genomic and/
 or transcriptomic and/or proteomic analysis of currently available clinica
 l specimens with a focus on answering biologic and pathophysiologic questi
 ons of clinical relevance in ovarian cancer.  The proposed research quest
 ion should be innovative and have the potential to make an impact on ovari
 an cancer.\nClinical trials are not allowed under the Proteogenomics Resea
 rch Award mechanism.  The analysis of clinical trial-derived specimens an
 d/or large patient specimen cohorts is encouraged.  Preliminary data are 
 not required but are allowed\nFunding:        max. $250’000\n\nDur
 ation:      2 years\n\nEligibility: Investigators at the level of post
 doctoral fellow or clinical fellow (or equivalent) and above may be named 
 by the organization as the Principal Investigator (PI) on the application.
  An eligible PI\, regardless of ethnicity\, nationality\, or citizenship s
 tatus\, must be employed by\, or affiliated with\, an eligible organizatio
 n. Foreign organizations\, foreign public entities\, and international org
 anizations\, are eligible to apply.\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are su
