DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Ovarian Cancer 
 Research Program (OCRP) Awards. The OCRP Pilot Award supports the explorat
 ion of innovative concepts or theories in ovarian cancer that could ultima
 tely lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will drive th
 e field forward. The proposed research must demonstrate a clear focus on o
 varian cancer and serve as a catalyst to expand or modify current thinking
  about and/or approaches in ovarian cancer. To foster research with potent
 ial to yield new avenues of investigation\, preliminary data are not requi
 red\, but are allowed. Research projects should include a well-formulated\
 , testable hypothesis based on strong scientific rationale\; however\, app
 lications that demonstrate exceptional scientific merit but lack innovatio
 n do not meet the intent of the Pilot Award.  The outcome of research sup
 ported by this award should be the generation of robust preliminary data t
 hat can be used as a foundation for future research projects. Clinical tri
 als will not be supported by this award mechanism.\nFunding:        
 max. $250’000\n\nDuration:      2 years\n\nEligibility: Investigator
 s at the level of postdoctoral fellow or clinical fellow (or equivalent) a
 nd above may be named by the organization as the Principal Investigator (P
 I) on the application. An eligible PI\, regardless of ethnicity\, national
 ity\, or citizenship status\, must be employed by\, or affiliated with\, a
 n eligible organization. Foreign organizations\, foreign public entities\,
  and international organizations\, are eligible to apply.\n\nHow to Apply:
  Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should co
 ntain contact information\, a preproposal narrative\, and a list of collab
 orators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applications 
 (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full application 
 packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.\nNote: Due to the 
 blinded nature of the review process\, identifying or making references to
  the PI\, collaborators\, or their organization(s) within the Preproposal 
 Narrative is prohibited and will result in administrative rejection of the
