DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Ovarian Cancer 
 Research Program (OCRP) Awards. The OCRP Ovarian Cancer Academy – Early-
 Career Investigator Award\nThis award mechanism enables the Early Career I
 nvestigator (ECI) to pursue an ovarian cancer project (basic /translationa
 l /clinical research /clinical trial) under the guidance of a Designated M
 entor. The ECI is expected to participate in monthly webinars and annual w
 orkshops and to communicate and collaborate with other members of the acad
 emy as well as with the advocacy community.\nNote: The Designated Mentor i
 s not required to be at the same institution as the ECI. Preliminary data 
 to support the feasibility of the research hypotheses and research approac
 hes are required\; (but not necessarily derived from the ovarian cancer re
 search field).\n\nFunding:        max. $725’000\n\nDuration:   
    4 years\n \n\n	Eligibility: All organizations\, including foreign or
 ganizations\, foreign public entities\, and international organizations\, 
 are eligible to apply.\n	 Early-Career Investigator\n\nNew: Must be withi
 n five (5) years of last doctoral research position (Ph.D.) or clinical fe
 llowship (M.D.)\, or equivalent as of the full application submission dead
 line.  \n\n\n	May be a research- or physician-scientist.\n	May be in a n
 on-tenure track or tenure track position.\n	Must not have a concurrent car
 eer development-like award at the time of this award.\n	Must have an insti
 tutional commitment of approximately 50% protected time for ovarian cancer
  research and Academy activities including participation in monthly webina
 rs.  \n	Must commit no less than 25% effort to this award for the first 
 2 years.\n	Individuals in a doctoral research position (Ph.D.) or clinical
  fellowship (M.D.)\, or equivalent at the time of full application submiss
 ion are not eligible.\n\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted th

 proposal narrative\, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as sugg
