DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is committed to 
 alleviating the suffering caused by mental illness by awarding grants that
  will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research. The Brain
  and Behavior Research Foundation now invites applications for its Young I
 nvestigator grant (YI). This enables young investigators in the field of n
 eurobiology to extend their research fellowship training or to begin caree
 rs as independent research faculty. The aim is to facilitate innovative re
 search opportunities and support basic\, translational or clinical investi
 gators.\nAll research must be relevant to the understanding\, treatment an
 d prevention of serious psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia\, bipo
 lar\, mood and anxiety disorders\, or early onset brain and behaviour diso
 rders.\nDuration:      2 years\n\nFunding:        $35’000/year
 \n\nEligibility: Applicant must hold a doctoral level degree and already b
 e employed in research training\, or be in a faculty research position. Th
 e YI Grant is intended to support advanced post-doctoral fellows\, instruc
 tors and assistant professors (or equivalent). The applicant must have an 
 on-site mentor /senior collaborator who is an established investigator in 
 areas relevant to psychiatric disorders. They may apply up to twice for th
 is award and may not hold this award more than two times. Only one princip
 al investigator is allowed per application.\n\nHow to Apply: Applications

 ns\, budget\, mentor support letter\, mentor C.V.\, references\, collabora
