DESCRIPTION:CHANSE\, Collaboration of Humanities and Social Sciences in Eu
 rope\, is a joint initiative of 27 research funding organisations from 23 
 countries\, including Switzerland (via the SNSF). The CHANSE Programme bui
 lds on the experience of two existing networks: HERA and NORFACE supportin
 g research in humanities and social sciences respectively.\n\nThe objectiv
 e of the 2021 call is to help understand how digital innovations give rise
  to social and cultural changes\, and are also influenced by society and c
 ulture. CHANSE will support new and innovative research into the workings\
 , meaning and consequences of transformations and innovations in the prese
 nt digital age\, viewed through the lens of the social and cultural dynami
 cs.  Every proposal must demonstrate a strong European dimension.\n\nThe 
 two topics within this large theme are :\n\n	Cultural Transformations in 
 the Digital Age\n	Digitalisation and Social Transformation\n\n\nWho can ap
 ply: \n\n\n	International consortia composed of researchers from at least 
 4 different participating countries.\n\n\n\n	Swiss-based applicants: all S
 wiss applicants must be eligible for SNSF Project Funding (see EPFL Instru
 ctions for SNSF Project Funding).\n\n\nLook for partners using the Partner
  Search Tool. \n\nFor Swiss-based applicants and co-applicants: \n\n\n	The
  proposed research has to fall within the disciplines covered by the Human
 ities and Social Sciences division (cf. research domains and disciplines)\
 n	Applicants must provide basic administrative data by submitting an admin
 istrative application in mySNF for the same deadline as the consortium app
 lication is submitted. Please select the “Programmes/ERA-NET: Pre-propos
 al” funding instrument when creating the application for the Outline Pro
 posal.\n	Swiss based applicants must submit a DMP (at least for their part
  of the project)\n	If one international project includes more than one Swi
 ss based applicant (Principal Investigator)\, the applicants must apply as
  a consortium and submit a joint budget.\n	The budget on the Swiss part of
  the project must be given in CHF in mySNF.\n\n\nFunding:\n\n\n	Recommende
 d cap on funding for one transnational project: 1’500’000 EUR for 24-3
 6 months\n	The SNSF has allocated for approximately 3 projects for this ca
 ll. There is no maximum contribution set per project for the Swiss part. N
 evertheless Swiss based applicants should aim at a budget no higher than a
 round 350’000-400’000 EUR per project.\n	For EPFL applicants: use the

 n\n\nTimeline of the call:\n\n\n	Deadline for outline proposals: 7 May 202
 1 at 14:00 CET\n	Deadline for full proposals (upon invitation): 7 December
  2021 at 14:00 CET\n	Call results: May/June 2022\n	Earliest start of the p
 roject: September/October 2021\n\n\nNote: Swiss-based applicants must subm
 it proposals via MySNF. Prior contact with SNSF is highly recommended if P
