DESCRIPTION:The Solar Irrigation for Agricultural Resilience (SoLAR) Innov
 ation Fund (IF) aims to support the development and testing of technologic
 al\, financial and institutional innovations to address the constraints an
 d challenges of scaling solar irrigation\, with a special focus on the pro
 blems faced by small-scale\, marginal\, and women farmers in South Asia (s
 pecifically Bangladesh\, Nepal\, India and Pakistan). The IF will aim to s
 upport innovations and practices that can influence policy or be expanded 
 and integrated into public\, donor and private sector programs and practic
 es with the support of additional funding sources.\n\nThe objectives of th
 e Innovation Fund are as follows:\n\n	Support innovations that help to bri
 dge the gaps that hamper the uptake of solar irrigation pumps in South Asi
 a.\n	Support innovations targeted at reducing barriers for sustainable ado
 ption and use of solar irrigation pumps by small-scale\, marginal\, and wo
 men farmers.\n	Support innovations that encourage the sustainable use of g
 roundwater resources when using solar-based irrigation.\n	Support innovati
 ons that enhance climate-resilient livelihood options for small-scale\, ma
 rginal\, and women farmers in the region.\n\n\nWho can apply\nThe SoLAR IF
  Grant will be open to all nongovernmental organizations\, universities\, 
 technical institutes\, research institutes\, public and private sector ent
 erprises and research laboratories\, and government agencies\, including l
 ocal government institutions working in any of these four countries who ar
 e eligible for this grant.\n\nDuration\nMax. 24 months (earliest possible 
 start: September 2021)\n\nFunding\nMax. 50’000 CHF for salaries\, travel
 s\, operational expenses and equipment & supply. For this second round\, f
 our grants will be awarded.\n\nDeadline\nSubmission deadline: 30 April 202
