li\nThe Applied Machine Learning Days are one of the largest machine learn
ing & AI events in Europe\, focused specifically on the applications of ma
chine learning and AI\, making it particularly interesting to industry and
  academia.\nEach month\, a domain-specific track will feature top-level sp
eakers\, discussions and keynotes. Some tracks will be preceded or followe
d by a workshop day focussed on hand-on sessions\, coding classes and tuto
rials.\n\nOn May 10th we'll be hosting the track Anticipating the future
of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on people and on society. \nAdv
ances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) will have
a strong impact on people\, society and the planet in the future. GESDA
has worked towards a first mapping of scientific breakthroughs over time f
rame of 5 to 25 years. This mapping has been developed by consulting with
some of the leaders in the field and will be released as part of of a majo
r report later this year.\nThe developments  inevitably ask a series of m
oral and governance questions: How likely are they and what will be their
impact on the future human society? What are the questions around co-devel
opment\, access and use of advanced AI technologies? Will we move towards
more human-machine cooperation or will machines gradually take over more a
nd more human tasks?\n\nThe purpose of the session is twofold:\n\n	Anticip
ate the future of machine learning and AI with leaders from the field\, fr
om a science and engineering perspective.\n	Explore the implications of th
ose developments on the ‘human’ and society as a whole\, followed by a
  debate around governance issues.\n
