DESCRIPTION:Fourth Call for Applications\n\nTo promote research and educat
 ion in cyber-defence\, EPFL\, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in
  Lausanne\, and the Cyber-Defence (CYD) Campus have jointly launched the 
 “CYD Fellowships – A Talent Program for Cyber-Defence Research.”\n\n
 CYD Fellowships are designed to promote new solutions to major challenges 
 in the fields of security and data science by bringing together basic and 
 applied research. They are open to researchers at master\, doctoral\, or p
 ostdoctoral level who are willing to engage with cross-cutting issues in c
 yber-defence\, with a particular emphasis on:\n\n	novel technologies for p
 rotecting the confidentiality\, integrity\, and availability of cyber and 
 cyber-physical systems\n	privacy-enhancing technologies\n	data science and
  artificial intelligence methods for analysing cyber- and technology-relev
 ant data\n	research on vulnerabilities and backdoors in digital systems\n\
 n\nThe CYD Fellowships are supported by armasuisse Science and Technology.
 \n\nWhat:            \n6-month CYD Master Thesis Fellowships (l
 iving allowance and research funds)\n4-year (with a possible one-year exte
 nsion) CYD Doctoral Fellowships (salary and research and conference funds)
 \n(up to) 2-year CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships (salary and re
 search and conference funds)\n\nWhere:          \nCYD fellows ar
 e hosted by a higher education institution in Switzerland and conduct thei
 r research at the CYD Campus located on the premises of EPFL and ETHZ and 
 in its office in Thun. The CYD Campus is a cyber-competence center acting 
 as an anticipation platform for identifying and assessing technologies\, c
 ommercial and social cyber trends\, as well as the resulting usage scenari
 os.\n\nEligibility:                   \n\n\n	Citizens of 
 any nationality can apply\n	CYD Master Thesis Fellowships: applicants must
  be enrolled in a Master program at a Swiss higher education institution a
 nd receive the endorsement of a professor willing to supervise them\n	CYD 
 Doctoral Fellowships: applicants must be accepted into a doctoral program 
 at a Swiss higher education institution and receive the endorsement of a p
 rofessor willing to supervise them\n	CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow
 ships: applicants must receive the endorsement of a professor at a Swiss h
 igher education institution willing to supervise them and plan to conduct 
 their postdoctoral research funded by a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellows
 hip in a different laboratory from the one of their doctoral and (if appli
 cable) of their current postdoctoral research.\n\n\nWhen to start:
