utionized banking\, decentralized computing is poised revolutionize the cl
oud. The goal of my PhD is to research massively scalable systems meant to
be deployed on the Internet or other large networks. One particular topic
of interest is Internet Computers\, decentralized systems that can provid
e cloud storage and computing services at the planetary scale by harnessin
g the power of millions of machines\, from ultra high-end servers to the a
verage mobile phone. Other research topics include: massively scalable dec
entralized storage\, massively scalable decentralized computing\, decentra
lized consensus\, Sybil resistance\, and privacy-performance tradeoffs in
 decentralized computation.\n\nBackground papers\n\n- Wood\, Gavin\, "Ether
