DESCRIPTION:Thanks to an annual contribution of CHF 250’000 by the Käth
 e Zingg-Schwichtenberg (KZS) Fund\, the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences 
 (SAMS) supports research projects by junior researchers in biomedical ethi
 cs.\n\nThe 2021 call supports empirical or theoretical research projects i
 nvestigating the «Access to medical and nursing care in the event of reso
 urce scarcity» from a clinical ethics and/or public health ethics perspec
 tive.\n\nSupported projects must help to understand how the experience of 
 the pandemic has changed – and is still changing – perceptions and ass
 essments of equity and distribution debates in the event of resource scarc
 ity. Projects must be of relevance to Switzerland and be in the planning s
 tage\; funding will NOT be provided for ongoing projects.\n\nWho can apply
 : \n\n	Doctoral and postdoctoral\, non-tenured researchers\, aiming at an 
 academic career in the field of biomedical ethics and active at a research
  institution in Switzerland by the time of the submission deadline and for
  the intended duration of the grant.\n\n\nFunding: \n\n\n	Max. CHF 250K. N
 o minimum amount\n	Eligible costs: project-related costs and a portion of 
 the PI’s salary.\n\n\nDuration: \n\n\n	Max. 24 months.\n\n\nDeadline: 31
  August 2021 \nEvaluation by the KZS expert committee.\nDecision: 30 Novem
