DESCRIPTION:Aim:\nThe goal of the program is to accelerate our understandi
 ng of the biological mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s Disease and relat
 ed dementias as well as innovative approaches to better diagnose\, prevent
  or delay the progress of the disease. Preference is made for exciting pil
 ot projects that would not\, at their present stage\, be competitive for l
 arge government or industry awards. Typically\, these awards are made to e
 arly stage investigators\, or to more established investigators who are pr
 oposing particularly innovative research.\n\nFunding:      Post-Doctor
 al Fellowship Award: $100\,000\n                     S
 tandard Award: $100\,000\n\nDuration:     Post-Doctoral Fellowship: 2 y
 ears\n                     Standard Award: 3 years\n\n
 Eligibility:\nPost-Doctoral Fellowships are limited to researchers within 
 5 years of doctoral degree conferral (or end of residency).\nAll other app
 licants are encouraged to apply for a standard award.\n\nHow to apply: \nT
 o start a new application and upload attachments\, you must use our Propos
 alCentral application portal to apply online.\n\n	You will need to registe
 r your organization. Upon doing so\, a system-defined password will be ema
 iled to you\, along with a link to the BrightFocus' ProposalCentral applic
 ation portal (https://proposalcentral.com/).\n	Next\, you will need to cha
 nge the system-defined password to one of your own choosing.\n	Once you cr
 eate and submit the new password\, you will be taken to the application po
 rtal where you will be given step-by-step instructions on how to proceed w
 ith the application process.\n	Note: If you have issues accessing or navig
 ating BrightFocus’ ProposalCentral application portal using Microsoft In
 ternet Explorer\, then switch to another web browser\, such as Mozilla Fir
 efox or Google Chrome.\n	Attachments are required and must be submitted th
 rough the application portal. The final page of the attachment templates s
 hould be signed and returned to BrightFocus as specified in the instructio
