CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Solar-driven chemistry is a network initiated by the Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG\, German Research Foundation) with an aim to c
onduct an international call for proposals in chemistry and process engine
ering. The initiative involves research funding organisations from Finland
\, France\, Germany\, Poland\, Switzerland and Turkey. This Joint Programm
e is funded by the participating countries’ funding agencies\, including
the SNSF for Switzerland.\n\nSubject of this call for proposals is fundam
ental research in all sub-areas relevant to the photochemical transformati
on of small\, abundant molecules\, such as carbon dioxide\, water or nitro
gen\, into more valuable\, storable chemicals by means of solar radiation.
Focus of the proposals should be on the photochemical processes (reaction
 s) and on solving fundamental\n\nWho can apply:\n\n	International consorti
a composed of 2-4 researchers from at least 2 different participating coun
 tries (i.e. Finland\, France\, Germany\, Poland\, Turkey and Switzerland).
As the SNSF already offers the option of bilateral proposals with Germany
\, France and Poland under the Lead Agency/Weave agreements\, these bilate
ral combinations are not eligible for this call. However\, bilateral Finni
sh-Swiss and Turkish-Swiss proposals as well as any trilateral or quadrila
teral proposals with Swiss participation are eligible.\n	Consortia that al
ready received funding in the first call 2019/2020 are not eligible to app
ly for a second funding period. Proposals that did not receive funding in
the first call 2019/2020 can be re-submitted\, if revised.\n	Each applican
t is only allowed to participate in one application within this call.\n\n\
n\n	Swiss-based applicants: must be eligible for SNSF Project Funding (see
EPFL Instructions for SNSF Project Funding. Projects must comply with the
SNSF Regulations on project funding (Division II). In case of several ove
rlapping SNSF projects\, all projects must significantly distinguish thems
elves from each other.\n\nFunding & Duration: Total funding depends on eac
h country’s limitation (see call text)\, no upper limit for Swiss applic
ants. Joint projects will be funded up to three years (either 24 or 36 mon
th) starting not later than beginning of 2023.\n\nTimeline of the call: \n
 \n\n	Deadline for pre-proposals: 29 October 2021 at 23:59 CET.\n	Deadline
for full proposals (upon invitation): 2 May 2022.\n\nApplications must be
