DESCRIPTION:Aim: This funding program — an Edmond J. Safra Core Program 
 for PD Research — will support development of Parkinson’s disease (PD)
  therapeutics with potential for fundamentally altering disease course or 
 significantly improving non-motor or motor symptoms.\nProgram Priorities:\
 n\n	Assay development\, early screening campaigns\, hit-to-lead and lead o
 ptimization\n	Proof-of-concept\n	Pharmacokinetics\, pharmacodynamics and s
 afety\n\nStudies may request access to MJFF-sponsored biospecimen and ce
 ll line collections. \nResearchers from public and private institutions a
 re encouraged to apply and to collaborate. \n\nDeadline: Pre-proposals du
 e 28 September 2021\nAmount: Up to $500\,000\nDuration: 1 to 2 years\nElig
 ibility: Applications may be submitted by researchers or clinicians in:\n\
 n\n	U.S. and non-U.S. biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies\, or other pu
 blicly or privately held for-profit entities\; and\n	U.S. and non-U.S. pub
 lic and private non-profit entities\, such as universities\, colleges\, ho
 spitals\, laboratories\, units of state and local governments and eligible
  agencies of the federal government.\n	Post-doctoral fellows are not eligi
 ble to apply as co-investigators in this call.\n\nAs programs may require 
 many kinds of expertise\, MJFF encourages industry and academic collaborat
