DESCRIPTION:FAMAE is an independent foundation created in 2017 by Eric Phi
 lippon and his family with the objective to support and highlight initiati
 ves that reduce our environmental footprint in the major circular economy 
 sectors: water\, waste\, energy\, mobility\, food\, air etc. In particular
 \, FAMAE Foundation seeks pragmatic\, efficient\, durable\, universal and 
 money-saving solutions to make life easier for urban dwellers while reduci
 ng their environmental footprint.\n\nThe Foundation launches annual intern
 ational competitions to enable brilliant and innovative inventors to make 
 their ideas come true or to effectively launch their product. The 2018 edi
 tion focused on waste\, the 2019 edition on water\, the 2020 edition on fo
 od and the 2021 edition focuses on sustainable innovation.\n\nThe 2021 com
 petition " Sustainable Innovations Challenge" targets Support innovative a
 nd concrete solutions to fight against climate change\, everywhere in the 
 world\, around waste\, water\, food\, habitat\, energy and mobility. The F
 oundation’s challenges are open to disruptive projects\, either emerging
  or mature.\n\nSeed funding: Max. EUR 1 million (with the max. amount bein
 g awarded only if a single project is selected)\n\n	Eligible costs: projec
 t related expenses (e.g. further R&D expenses\, test protocol costs\, pers
 onnel and marketing expenses).\n	Complementary support: access to FAMAE bu
 siness network and support with legal / trade and financial aspects\, or p
 roduct development and manufacturing / suppliers’ sourcing.\n\n\nWho can
  apply:\n\n\n	Teams of applicants from Education (e.g. students\, professo
 rs\, researchers)\, Business (e.g. start-ups\, SMEs) and Philanthropy (e.g
 . NGOs\, associations) anywhere in the world.\n\n\n\n	Applicants cannot ha
 ve two applications running in parallel.\n\n\nDeadline: 15 October 2021\n\
