Moser\n\nAbstract\nLenses are a core component of any optical design. How
ever\, given a particular lens\, its potential uses are limited to applica
tions which require that specific construction and focus length. Optoelect
ronic devices such as spatial light modulators (SLM) can add a dimension o
f programmability to the optical chain\, but their current understanding (
and price point) limit their adoption. Our research goal is to develop a c
oherent set of theoretical and practical tools for digital lensing with SL
Ms in order broaden their audience and use. In this proposal\, we discuss
three works that span the breadth of topics in this endeavor: modeling the
propagation of light\, holography\, and lensless cameras. Finally\, we di
scuss how these seemingly disparate topics can contribute to the broader t
 ask of programmable optics.\n\nBackground papers\n\n	"Band-Limited Angular
