DESCRIPTION:Professor Deokjung Lee\nA UNIST research group\, COmputational
Reactor physics and Experiment (CORE)\, has developed a new two-step LWR
core analysis code system\, STREAM/RAST-K. STREAM is a lattice physics cod
e using Method of Characteristics (MOC) to solve a Fuel Assembly problem a
nd generate homogenized cross sections and ADFs. In the STREAM\, UNIST COR
E group has developed/implemented a new very accurate resonance treatment
method\, PSM\, which removed the biases of the results on uranium enrichme
nt and/or burnup.  RAST-K uses those equivalence data to simulate three-d
imensional LWR core steady states\, depletion and transients.\nIn RAST-K\,
many advanced methods / engineering features have been developed/implemen
ted: micro depletion\, internal TH solver\, TCD model\, multi-cycle simula
 tion\, various search options\, B-10 depletion\, pin power reconstruction\
, DNBR calculation\, ASI adaptation\, and CRUD modelling. In the seminar\,
RAST-K methodology and some verification/validation results will be prese
 nted.\n
