DESCRIPTION:The Structural Xploration Lab (SXL) of EPFL is pleased to invi
 te you to the vernissage of the RE:CRETE prototype\, a footbridge built fr
 om reused concrete blocks\, on Monday\, 11 October 2021 at blueFACTORY\, F
 ribourg\, at 17:00.\nWaste from a building renovation site\, the blocks ha
 ve been sawn from a wall and reassembled into a post-tensioned arch. Morta
 r joints compensate the dimensional variations that are characteristic of 
 the reuse practice. RE:CRETE paves the way for new construction paradigms 
 that drastically reduce the environmental impacts of the construction indu
 stry by applying the principles of circular economy.\n
