 g technologies such as brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) establish a direct
  connection pathway between humans and machines\, i.e. between the biologi
 cal and the digital world. This presentation will explore the ethical impl
 ications of BCIs and identify key societal challenges at the human-machine
  interface.\n\nBio: Marcello Ienca is a scientific collaborator and ERA-NE
 T Group Leader at CDH. His research focuses on the ethics of neurotechnolo
 gy\, artificial intelligence\, big data\, digital health and human-machine
  interaction. He is an expert advisor to the Council of Europe’s Ad Hoc 
 Committee on Bioethics and a member of the Steering Group on Neurotechnolo
 gy and Society of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development
