DESCRIPTION:SOLAR-ERA.NET is a European network of national / regional fun
 ding organisations and RTD (research and technology development) and innov
 ation programmes in the field of solar electricity generation\, i.e. photo
 voltaics (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP) / solar thermal electric
 ity (STE). SOLAR-ERA.NET is supported by the European Commission within th
 e EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation HORIZON 2020 (Cofund 
 ERA-NET Action). The SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2 Joint Call topics are based on
  priorities identified in the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan resp.
  in the subsequent Implementation Plans for PV.\n\nThe SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofun
 d 2 Joint Call 2021 comprises four topics:\n\n	Advanced industrial PV tech
 nologies\n	Emerging PV technologies\n	Building and infrastructure integrat
 ed PV\n	Operation\, diagnosis\, system integration and environmental impac
 t of PV plants\n\n\nThe project consortium has to involve at least 2 partn
 ers from 2 different countries participating in the SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2
  Joint  Call and  providing  funding  to  the  project selected. At 
 least one partner in the consortium has to be from industry in order to in
 crease the level of transnationality and covering a wider geographic spect
 rum.\n\nEvery project participant is funded by the funding organisation of
  their own country/region according to their specific rules\, for Swiss-ba
 sed applicants the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). Not all programm
 es / funding agencies will accept applications in all topics. For a list o
 f the SFOE eligible topics and area / sub-topics within this call\, please
  see Table 2 and p. 8 of the Guidelines.\n\nA direct contact with SFOE con
 tact point (Table 1 of the Guidelines) is mandatory before any electronic 
 submission (at least 2 weeks before submission) to check the project idea 
 and national / regional specific requirements.\n\nDuration: max. 36 months
 \n\nBudget for Swiss applicants: 400’000 Euros\n\nSFOE eligible applican
 ts: private and public sector entities\, namely higher  education  insti
 tution\,  public  research  organisation\, public  organisation\, priv
 ate – SME  (Industry)\, private – large  companies  (Industry)\, pr
 ivate – Non-profit  research organisation\n\nSFOE eligible costs: limit
 ed to 40% of the eligible project costs\, which are the additional project
  costs that cannot be amortized over the expected lifetime of the develope
 d installation or solution\, i.e. additional costs compared to the costs o
 f implementing an equivalent\, conventional technology or solution (see al
 so p. 19 of the Guidelines).\nFunding is primarily provided for pilot and 
 demonstration project with TRL>5 (exceptionally TRL4).\n\nSubmission\nPre-
