DESCRIPTION:The Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS) offers gran
 ts to pluri-disciplinary research teams\, to support projects on internati
 onal studies\, combining natural and social sciences.\n\nProposals can be 
 submitted in one of the following sections:\n\n	General call for proposals
  on International Studies: concerning issues that are pluri-disciplinary\,
  relevant to the international agenda\, and for which international cooper
 ation is required to produce policy-relevant outputs. Investigated issues 
 may combine political\, economic\, social\, environmental\, historical\, l
 egal\, health\, scientific\, and development dimensions of complex societa
 l questions.\n	Special 2021 theme: The role of data in achieving the SDGs\
 , in the context of a post pandemic recovery.\n\nWho can apply:\n\n\n	The 
 project Coordinator and Co-coordinator can be professors or post-docs with
  a employed at least at 40% at a Swiss Higher Education Institutions for t
 he duration of the project. The cannot hold a SNIS grant at the time of th
 e submission of the pre-proposal. All coordinators must contact research@e
 pfl.ch to obtain an institutional letter of support.\n	Associated members:
  SNIS strongly encourages collaborations with International Organisations 
 and NGOs. The team can also include researchers from abroad and local part
 ners.\n\nFunding & Duration: from CHF 100’000 to 300’000 for 24 months
 .\n\nEligible costs\n\n\n	If the coordinator or the co-coordinator is a fa
 culty member without a full-time contract\, SNIS will fund up to a 50% of 
 a full-time position for the coordinator.\n	PhD students’ salary (follow
 ing SNSF salary scale: CHF 50’040 per year + 16% social charges) with a 
 minimum of 60% of their time dedicated to the SNIS project. All other pers
 onnel covered by this grant must be employed at least 50% FTE. \n	Travel 
 expenses.\n	Open access (up to 3% of the requested funds).\n\nNon eligible
  costs\n\n\n	If the coordinator or co-coordinator has a full-time contract
 \, SNIS funds cannot be used for the coordinator’s salary\n	Salary of th
 e associated members (e.g. of IOs\, NGOs).\n	Infrastructure\, Equipment\, 
 Publications and Overheads.\n\nCo-funding (in-kind and monetary):\n\n\n	Mu
 st amount to at least 25% and no more than 100% of requested funds.\n\nTim
