DESCRIPTION:Daena Giardellacall_made is a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan
  School of Management and a Faculty Affiliate of the MIT Leadership Center
 .  She teaches numerous interactive skills-​based workshops and trainin
 g programmes where participants learn how to respond proactively to implic
 it or unconscious bias\, sexual harassment\, and bullying by enacting impr
 ovised scenarios.\nDaena Giardella will introduce the concept of the “up
 stander” and explain what it means to be an upstander\, and how an upsta
 nder differs from a passive bystander. In this workshop\, participants wil
 l practise vocabulary and phrases that can be applied to difficult situati
 ons of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.\n \nKey topics:\n\n	How 
 harassment\, bullying\, put-​downs and bias affect all workplaces\n	How 
 to recognise and deal with inappropriate behaviour\n	Gauging when it is po
 ssible to stand up\n	Practising “upstander” vocabulary and phrases\n\n
