DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The Parkinson's Foundation Impact Awards are designed f
 or researchers both established and new to the field of PD. Projects shoul
 d be "outside the box" with the goal of bringing new light to the biology 
 of Parkinson's\, or testing a truly novel therapeutic idea. Projects shoul
 d be for the best ideas that are unlikely to be funded through more tradit
 ional funding mechanisms.\n\nFunding: $150’000\n\nDuration: 12-18 months
 \n\nEligibility: This award is open to all scientists with a PhD or MD\, r
 egardless of nationality or location. All career levels of independent inv
 estigators are welcome to apply. All applications must demonstrate a signi
 ficant research focus and impact on PD.\n\nHow to Apply: A peer-review com
 mittee will review the Letters of Intent (LOI)\, and proposals deemed meri
 torious and of interest will be invited for a full application\, due withi
 n five to six weeks of the LOI decision. A detailed budget is required wit
