Within the Deep Fakes: Art and Its Double exhibition, we would like to invite you to join us for a series of guided tours of the exhibition at EPFL Pavilions, followed by discussions on related themes at Satellite Bar.

6:15 – 7:30 pm - debate at Satellite Bar - on the following theme:  Reflections on Art in the Digital Age

Speakers:
Nathalie Dietschy, UNIL
Nathalie Dietschy has been appointed to the Assistant Professor in TPC in the Art History Department of UNIL on August 1, 2020. A specialist in the contemporary period, she was SNSF Senior Researcher at UNIL after defending her thesis there in 2012. Her work has focused on the relationship between artists' books, photography books and digital art. In parallel to with research activities, she has curated and co-curated several exhibitions with the Swiss National Library, Musée des Beaux-Arts du Locle, Alt+1000 festival, and others. She has also worked as an associate curator for the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography (FEP). Finally, she has been an art critic for the RTS program "Culture au Point".

Isaac Pante, UNIL
Isaac Pante is Senior Lecturer in Digital Culture and Digital Publishing in the Language and Information Sciences Department (Faculty of Arts, UNIL) which he presided from 2016 to 2018. Writer and programmer, member of several committees devoted to digital education, he promotes disciplinary hybridization and contributes to the digital empowerment of HSS students. Since April 2019, he is Scientific Adviser on Digital Transition for the Rectorate of the University of Lausanne.

Access to the debate is open to all, without reservations. 

You are free to join us directly at the debate. The booking is mandatory only for the guided tour part of the event.

*A CHF4 discount will be provided at Satellite Bar, to accompany the discussion around “deep fakes” only to those that have attended the guided tour of the exhibition.

*A Covid certificate is necessary to attend both parts of the event.
