            "description": "<strong>Aim</strong>: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), the Department of Defense is announcing the 2026 <strong>Pancreatic Cancer Research Program</strong><strong> (PCARP) </strong>Awards. Several award programs are available:\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>The Focused Pilot Award supports the exploration and development of impactful and innovative concepts under a patient centered focus area that could ultimately lead to major advancements that will have a profound effect on patients’ overall quality of life. Applications must address the following FY26 PCARP focus area: supportive care, quality of life and survivorship research</li>\r\n\t<li>The Idea Development Award Supports the development of innovative, high-risk/high-reward research that could lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will accelerate progress in improving outcomes for individuals with pancreatic cancer. Applications should address one of the 2026 Focus Areas listed in the award <a href=\"https://ebrap.org/eBRAP/public/ViewFile.htm?fileId=35947296&amp;fileType=pdf\">details</a>.</li>\r\n\t<li>The Translational Research Partnership Award Supports partnerships between clinicians, population scientists, applied scientists and/or basic scientists that accelerate the movement of promising ideas in pancreatic cancer toward clinical applications. Applications should address one of the 2026 Focus Areas listed in the award <a href=\"https://ebrap.org/eBRAP/public/ViewFile.htm?fileId=35947293&amp;fileType=pdf\">details</a>.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<br>\r\n<strong>Funding</strong>:                  <br>\r\n<strong>Focused Pilot Award: </strong>max<strong>. </strong>$300K<br>\r\n<strong>Idea Development Award: </strong>$700K-$950K<br>\r\n<strong>Translational Research Partnership Award: </strong>max.<strong> </strong>$1.1M<br>\r\n<sub>Note: Cost caps are <strong>total costs (direct plus indirect costs). </strong>In accordance with EPFL guidelines, budgets should include a 20% overhead, and the total budget must remain within the grant’s maximum allowable funding</sub><br>\r\n<br>\r\n<strong>Duration</strong>:                 <br>\r\n<strong>Focused Pilot Award</strong>: 2 years<br>\r\n<strong>Idea Development Award: </strong>3 years<br>\r\n<strong>Translational Research Partnership Award: </strong>3 years<br>\r\n<br>\r\n<strong>Eligibility: </strong>Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply, and there are no citizenship restrictions.             "description": "<p>Many important physiological processes such as aging arise from activities and events spanning different time scales. Yet typical measurements only capture snapshots or brief recording windows, and contain little information. To better understand these processes, we need to address the following questions: <em>When</em> (and for how long) do we record to resolve aging-relevant dynamics? <em>What</em> behavioral phenotypes (beyond locomotion) capture changes? <em>How</em> do we scale such measurements across many individuals while having exquisite control? In this talk, I will show how we measure behavioral dynamics over long periods of time, in many worms in parallel, and under well-controlled conditions. I will also share how additional behavioral phenotypes can be measured on a large scale beyond locomotion.             "description": "<p>The ability of animals to generate goal-oriented motor behaviors ensures their survival. Combining connectomics, genetics, optogenetics, and electrophysiology, we have begun to reveal cellular mechanisms that drive the motor behaviors of <em>C. elegans</em>, an animal with a small and non-spiking nervous system. I will present published and unpublished progress that describes the underlying of motor rhythm, motor rhythm modulation, and motor state organization.
