The symposium will deal with fundamental scientific topics as well as engineering applications including spatio-temporal flow structure analysis, large-scale measurement in environmental hydraulics, studies of industrial process flow of simple Newtonian and complex non-Newtonian fluids, from water and beverages to liquid metals and multi-phase systems. Method developments and their applications for in-line process-control monitoring of dynamic structure formation processes and of complex rheological properties will also be addressed.
