2022 Sony Research Award Program

The Sony Research Award Program supports cutting-edge academic research and helps build a collaborative relationship between Sony researchers and faculty in 17 European countries (including Switzerland), U.S., Canada and India.

The aim of the program is to create new opportunities for university faculties and research institutions to engage in pioneering research that could drive new technologies, industries and the future.

Who can apply: full-time professors (adjunct professors are not eligible) or researchers who are eligible to supervise PhD students.

Funding: up to USD 150K for 1 year, with a possible extension, covering all associated expenses and fees.

Important info for EPFL researchers:

• Include 40% overhead in the budget;
• The proposal should NOT contain any confidential information (e.g. inventions).
