The 2025 edition of the Alloys for Additive Manufacturing Symposium (AAMS) will take place on the Neuchâtel campus of the EPFL (Microcity). This 8th edition of AAMS will continue to explore the advancements at the forefront of materials science in metal additive manufacturing.
AAMS 2025 will delve into all aspects of the materials science behind AM for metals and composite materials with metallic phases. We invite contributions from experimental, theoretical, and computational researchers to explore topics such as feedstock creation and characterisation, degradation mechanisms in AM processing, in-process alloying and in situ microstructure characterisation, or post-processing techniques and resulting material properties. We especially welcome research on optimising existing alloys for AM and the innovative design of tailor-made alloys suited to AM processes.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Development of new and customized alloys for AM.
- Exploration of novel AM methods, including multimaterial approaches and hybrid processes.
- Engineering microstructures through AM techniques.
- Utilization of theoretical and computational approaches for microstructure design.
- Materials and geometry aspects of lattice structures, metamaterials, etc.
We look forward to welcoming you to Neuchâtel in September !
