The Ambros Lüthi Foundation promotes scientific research and teaching in the field of economics, with an emphasis on ethical and ecological questions.
Every two years, the Foundation awards a Prize of CHF 5’000 to an achieved research work.
 
Requirements:

  • Eligible research work include: scientific work projects, master's theses, dissertations, articles and books.
  • Must be at least substantially accomplished within the 3 years preceding the submission.
  • Interdisciplinary and innovative.
  • Address the following topics (at least one):
    • socio-economic studies
    • econometric studies
    • studies of alternative economic models
    • projects on scientific, technological or organizational innovation and/or their technology transfer.
  • Must be of economic, business and/or environmental ethical importance, by addressing, for instance, issues of sustainable (economic, social and environmental) development or corporate responsibility for human rights.
Who can apply: any person affiliated with a Swiss university or other research institute (e.g. think tank).
 
Deadline: 30 April 2018
Decision: end of July 2018
 
Application 
  • Must include:
    • 1. Description summarizing the project (1 page max.) consisting of:
      • 1.1 Title of the project
      • 1.2 Keywords characterizing the issues addressed in the project
      • 1.3 Abstract of the project
    • 2. Information about each member of the project (1 page max.):
      • 2.1 Family name, first name and date of birth
      • 2.2 Academic title and discipline
      • 2.3 Institution, department and function
      • 2.4 Postal address, telephone number and email address
    • 3. The Research project
