Aim: The proposed project may be in basic, clinical, translational, or population sciences research and must have direct applicability and relevance to brain cancer. Applications from investigators with experience in other areas of cancer or biomedical research who have promising ideas or approaches that can be applied to brain cancer research are especially encouraged.

Duration: 2 years

Funding: $130,000 USD

Eligibility:   
  • Applicants must be AACR Active members. Non-members can apply for membership online. Please review the Membership Categories for the category that best fits your qualifications.
  • There are no citizenship requirements, and the call is open to research institutions anywhere in the world.
  • Have completed their most recent doctoral degree within the past five years (i.e., degree cannot have been conferred before August 1, 2020; the formal date of receipt of doctoral degree is the date the degree was conferred as indicated on your diploma and/or transcript).
  • Applicants with a medical degree must have completed their most recent doctoral degree or medical residency - whichever date is later - within the past five years.
  • At the start of the grant term on August 1, 2025, applicants must hold a mentored research position with the title of postdoctoral fellow, clinical research fellow, or the equivalent.
