AFF architects statement:
Our work establishes itself by the idea of architecture as being something object-like. We endeavor to realize how the object relates to its surroundings and toward the character of its assignment. Out of the abundant variety of possibilities and obligations we choose specific elements and try to filter out their inherent qualities and traditions. By doing so often enough we trespass prevalent conventions. The pleasure of observation and implementation as much as the freshness of interpretation we consider thus a substantial part of our work. We believe that boredom is an unacceptable condition within an object.
The contextual orientation of our studio is characterized by the application and interpretation of metaphors. Often we adjust the design-process onto an idea, which has been developed out of examination and analysis of different features and which is subject to a continuous reformulation. Common appearances and typologies are constantly questioned and thus synchronized with contemporary requirements.
