Barkow Leibinger's commitment to material and fabrication research forms an evolving active-archive of tectonic choices at the centre of the practice. Open-ended and multi-directional this work folds into on-going building projects challenging and replacing the traditional building catalogue. Here material and ideation are in mutual and intertwined support of one and other. Frank Barkow is a Berlin-based guest critic at the EPFL this spring semester where he is investigating lightweight concrete in a master course. Vidéo
