Dr. Mark R. Cutkosky, Stanford University Bio: Dr. Mark R. Cutkosky is the Fletcher Jones II Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical at Stanford Universityand a co-director of the Center for Design Research. He formerly was a lecturer and research assistantat the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute and a design engineer at ALCOA. His researchinterests include robotic manipulation and tactile sensing, and the design and fabrication of biologicallyinspired systems. He has graduated over 40 Ph.D. students and published extensively in theseareas. Cutkosky is a former Fulbright Chair, Anderson Faculty Scholar and NSF Presidential YoungInvestigator. He is a member of ASME and Sigma Xi and IEEE fellow. |
