Are you interested in collaborating in a multi-country team on reproducing a brain-related research project during the 2023 eReproNim Brainhack at Campus Biotech?
The coming Brainhack is a 2 ½ day hackathon focused on brain imaging, and on reproducibility for this eReproNim edition. You can read more about the brainhack movement in our recent Neuron paper or listen directly to some of our community members here.
Contrary to traditional hackathons where teams compete, Brainhacks are collaborative: each team works on a different project. Project proposals just started being collected, so right now you have the option to attend the event as either:
1. A participant, to have fun working in a multi-country team on any reproducibility project that will be presented during the project pitches on Monday, June 19th. To sign up as a participant, please register here.
OR
2. A project instigator, to bring your own project idea (it could be anything related to reproducibility but the easiest is choosing an article you like with code and data and trying to replicate it). To sign up as a project instigator, please fill out this form (feel free to email us if you have any questions).
The main hackathon will be a hybrid event (you can attend remotely) between Campus Biotech , University of Reading (UK) and University of Torun (Poland) with project pitches on Monday June 19th 2pm, and the proper hackathon on June 20th – 21st (Tuesday-Wednesday). If you want to join, we’ll cover free lunch and unlimited coffee. There will also be an optional pub outing planned for Wednesday night.
For more information, just check out our website.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
The e-ReproNim Brainhack Team
