The ALINE experiment at the University of Lorraine aims at benchmarking RF-sheath models by experimentally studying cold magnetized capacitively coupled plasmas. Initial experiments require RF power to be effectively coupled to the plasma with minimal reflection through an impedance matching circuit. In order to build this matching-circuit, plasma bulk and sheath conditions must be modeled to develop an equivalent plasma impedance. Analytical solutions to this problem exist for simple geometries, yet given the conditions and geometries of ICRH antennas in fusion devices, the current work focuses in using the COMSOL Multiphysics software to model the plasma impedance in arbitrary geometries.
