Grant Intent: CCR grants provide support for hypothesis-driven research projects that have significant potential to advance our understanding of breast cancer, lead to reductions in breast cancer incidence and/or mortality, and move us toward the goal of a world without breast cancer.  These grants are intended to foster promising breast cancer researchers who are in the early stages of their faculty careers. Two Research Focus Areas are included in this mechanism:
  • CCR-Clinical Research – for clinical faculty proposing clinical research (as defined within the RFA); and
  • CCR-Basic/Translational Research – for basic or clinical faculty proposing laboratory-based biomedical research.
