Felix Hausch is Professor of Structure-Based Drug Research at the Technical University Darmstadt and international leader for FKBP51 biology, structure and therapeutic targeting. His laboratory is developing inhibitors of FKBP51 with the goal of establishing new treatment options for depression, obesity and chronic pain. In a recent study, he reports the development of potent and highly selective FKBP51 inhibitors based on macrocyclic structures.
