After performing symphonies by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, the Orchestra naturally turned to Schubert, who was largely inspired by his predecessors while composing his 6th Symphony, the "little C major". To begin the concert the OChE will propose the best known Ouverture by Beethoven: Egmont. The intensity of this work contrasts with the lyrical Romance in F by Dvorak for violin and orchestra, which will see the concertmaster Ken Lila Ashanti performing as a soloist.
