Congressi Stefano Franscini (CSF) is ETH Zurich’s conference platform located at Monte Verità, a beautiful hilltop overlooking Ascona and Lake Maggiore in Southern Switzerland (Ticino).

Conference: Every year, the CSF gives researchers and university professors the opportunity to organize a 3-5 day international conference on any disciplines for 50 - 120 international senior and junior researchers at the Monte Verità congress centre. The conference must be open to all interested and qualified persons and address a scientific public as wide as possible. CSF expects a reasonable percentage of women amongst the invited speakers.

Deadline Conferences: 01/10/ 2023 ( first round) and 15/01/2024 (second round)
The conference must be held between February and November 2025

Workshop: The workshop format is targeted for a smaller group (minimum 25) and is in general lasting 3 days. You have the possibility to apply for any time from February until November

Note that hybrid events, where few participants are not onsite, are also supported. However, the majority of the participants must be onsite to benefit from the intensive personal exchange that CSF offers.

Who can apply:

  • The call is open to researchers at all career levels.
  • Applications must be submitted by at least one PI and one co-applicant.
  • The PI must be based at a Swiss research institution.
  • The co-applicant can be based abroad. International collaborations are welcome.
