Aim: The CF Foundation is the world's leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and is pleased to announce the release of the Fall 2021 Clinical Research Award. The Clinical Research Award (CRA) provides support for investigator-initiated clinical research projects that address diagnosis, treatment, management of disease or symptom, or the pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis. The Clinical Pilot and Feasibility Award (CPFA) enables collection of sufficient preliminary data to determine the best strategies and methods for approaching a major question; special consideration will be given to those projects that pursue new approaches, under-researched topics, or more creative avenues of research to address the problems of cystic fibrosis.

Funding:          CRA – USD $150’000/year (single-center), $350’000/year (multi-center)
CPFA – USD $80’000/year

Duration:         CRA - up to 3 years
CPFA – up to 2 years

Eligibility: Applicants must be independent investigators. Applicants must hold faculty level positions. Fellows may submit applications but funding will only be considered if they hold a faculty-level appointment at the time of the award. Industry-sponsored research projects are not eligible for this award.
