The Dr. Josef Steiner Cancer Research Foundation is accepting applications for the 2021 Cancer Research Award.
Who can apply
- Early career scientists (~40 years old or less)
- involved in basic, clinical cancer and translational research
- who are able to provide the infrastructure needed to carry out the proposed project.
- Priority will be given to scientists based at Europe institutions.
Funding
- a research grant of up to CHF 1’000’000 over 4 years.
- a personal prize of CHF 50’000.
Eligible costs
- salaries for co-investigators or staff (the applicant’s salary is NOT eligible)
- equipment
- operating costs.
Timeline
- EPFL Internal Deadline for Institutional Support Letter: 8 April 2020 - submit your proposal to [email protected].
- Deadline for Outline proposal: 15 April 2020
- 4-6 applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by 1 September 2020.
- Deadline for Full proposal: 1 September 2018
- Interviews: January 2021
- Decision: February 2021
- Earliest project start: 1 March 2021
