Hour | 14:15 › 15:15 |
Speaker | Dr. Jennifer Cowan, Institute of Immunity & Transplantation, University College London (UK) |
Location | Online |
Category | Conferences - Seminars |
Event Language | English |
BIOENGINEERING SEMINAR
About the speaker and her talk:
Dr. Jennifer Cowan is a Sir Henry Dale Fellow in the Division of Immunity and Infection at University College London. Research in the Cowan Lab focusses on T-cell development, specifically the impact of age-associated loss of thymic function and how it corresponds with alterations in T-cells observed with aging. Using novel models, we can restore thymic function in ageing mice and assess if it alters peripheral T-cell populations and consequently T-cell responses when immune challenged.
