Interested in an environmental assessment of space missions?
Ever wonder about the environmental impact of your work?
Which segment, phase, technology of a space mission produces most CO2, or requires most rare materials?
ESA has created an activity that starts answering these questions. They called upon the company Quantis Intl (Swiss StartUp) to create a game that represents the various segments, phases and activities of a space mission. You will work in teams to provide your own assessment of the environmental impact, which then will be compared to the results of 3 real cases.
The EPFL Space Engineering Center invites you to take part in this activity on December 8th, 2016. This activity will last approximately 1h00-1h30 and will be followed by an Annual Meeting (and aperitif). In between game sessions, several parallel laboratory visits are possible and will be organised based on the participants interests.
