This call aims at supporting the research community in the acquisition of large equipment funding (min. value of CHF 50'000.-).
Selection process
The School Deans and the Vice-Presidency for Research (VPR) will make the ranking and selection in coordination with the Equipment & Centers Management Office (ECO).
The criteria for the ranking are the following:
- The number of labs sharing the requested equipment
- The impact of the equipment on the research projects
- The labs’ contribution and eligibility for external funds (R’Equip)
- The PI’s career situation and seniority
Important information
- A room for the equipment must be identified and validated in the application form by the head of infrastructure of your school
- Applications for the SNSF R’Equip program must be submitted to this call and clearly stated
- For teaching equipment (DLL), please mention this clearly in the application description
- New professors who are already benefitting from a startup fund are not eligible for this call (except for R'Equip application). The startup fund call deadlines are March 1st and July 1st.
