“Too time consuming to write a research proposal”. “Unable to compete with life sciences”… And many more “wrong” reasons not to apply for an ERC grant in the domain of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).
Since the foundation of the European Research Council in 2007, 1550 ERC SSH projects in 29 countries have been funded. Amongst which 40 in Switzerland. This is to show the importance the ERC attributes to this research domain. And that many top SH researchers fully match the excellence criteria, ERC funding is based on.
Whether you come from literature, political science, architecture, digital humanities, psychology, linguistics, economics, museology or philosophy – it’s worth a try! At UNIL and EPFL you will find expert support for your project proposal, from the first idea to the submission and beyond.
This ERC event will provide background information, comprehensive advice as well as hands-on experience by a successful grant holder.
