Celtic-Plus is the industry-driven European research programme for implementing the vision of a Smart Connected World. It covers a broad range of areas in ICT, including communication infrastructures, services, applications and multimedia. Celtic-Plus gives freedom regarding what research topic can explored in an applicant’s ICT research project, thus offering projects the chance of both evolutionary as well as disruptive innovation in all relevant ICT areas, without limiting creativity and ambition.

Submission deadline: 15.10.2018

Who can apply: Open to any type of company, large industry, small companies, universities and research organisations, even to companies outside the EUREKA countries.

How: Three steps: register on the Celtic Plus Online proposal tool, fill in the Webforms in the proposal tool and upload the proposal in pdf. A template for the proposal can be downloaded from the Call Information page. In order to speed up the process it is very important that the consortium partners establish contacts with the  national  funding authorities already  during  the  proposal preparation phase to check if the proposal covers an interesting and fundable topic for the national research, the national consortium would be eligible for funding (depending on national funding rules).
A short proposal abstract (including a short project outline, intended consortium partners/countries) can also be submitted until one month before the deadline for a first check to the [email protected].

Funding: The finally available budget per call depends on the composition of countries and companies per project. Limitations exist only on the national budget for each country. Generally, the total budget per year is around 100 million euro. The amount of funding depends exclusively on the national funding rules and on the national research priorities.
