BIOENGINEERING SEMINAR

Abstract:
Many powerful research tools begin as software developed within a single lab, often optimized for a specific project or computing environment. This can sometimes make these tools frustrating to install and use. Turning these tools into reliable, maintainable resources for the broader community requires testing infrastructure, clear documentation, and long-term support. The Rosetta Commons provides resources, staff, and training to help make this process straightforward and rewarding for developers and contributors, while helping reduce the frustration users often experience when installing and using new tools developed in the community.

Bio:
In this seminar, Hope Woods (Technical Product Lead) and Rachel Clune (Documentation Writer) will highlight several Rosetta Commons resources and discuss the benefits of hosting software within the Rosetta Commons infrastructure. They will also describe their work with developers of tools such as Foundry, HBDesigner, AtomWorks, and FrustraMPNN to help ensure these projects can be maintained and supported by the community over time. Finally, they will outline pathways for researchers interested in bringing their own tools into the Rosetta Commons ecosystem.
