With this initiative, Gebert Rüf Stiftung seeks to generate a significant impact by exploiting the potential and widespread use of microbial resources in health and technology.  The program supports with CHF 2 Mio. p.a. interdisciplinary, cross-institutional, innovative and applied projects, dealing with the direct use of modified or domesticated micro-organisms. The focus is on applications in human and veterinary medicine, the environment, energy production, water treatment, food science and other areas.
Duration: 2-3 years
Funding: up to CHF 300,000 to 500,000
Deadline: 20 July 2018

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. By 10 July 2018, submit your application to the Research Office to request the letter of endorsement.
  3. By 20 July 2018, the leader of the project management team must submit the complete application to Jacqueline Grollimund, project controlling (
Eligible costs: salaries and material costs linked to project. Infrastructure and overheads are not covered.
