Horizons, Clocks and Cosmology: A view from von Neumann factors
After a brief review of the physical meaning of von Neumann algebras both in the case of quantum field theory on a black hole geometry as well as on de Sitter background we will discuss how to include in both cases gravitational corrections. We will focus on the case of gravitational corrections to quantum field theory on de Sitter and on its meaning and implications as well as on numerical predictions for the primordial power spectrum of scalar curvature fluctuations.
