Investigating Pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone Boson Potentials
The scalar potential for pNGBs dominates their physics at low energies, specifically whenever the momentum-expansion parameter is small enough that higher-derivative interactions are negligible. In this talk I will discuss structural aspects of pNGB potentials, focussing on how the underlying geometry of the pNGB coset manifold ultimately shapes the nature of the scalar potential from a radiative perspective, including questions of naturalness and behaviour at finite temperature. This talk will include material from three recent publications and some ongoing projects.
